Support a Feature Length Kiteboarding Film on Kickstarter

Jewell and Ginnie, a Charleston/Atlanta based filmmaking company launched plans for “With A Kite,” a feature-length kiteboarding documentary. Shooting is scheduled to start in June 2012 and be centered around the 2012 Triple - S Invitational in Cape Hatteras, NC, which attracts the biggest names in the world of kiteboarding.

We started off with a new bladder material that is 25% lighter. We also reduced the leading edge diameter and introduced a smaller strut size. Efficiency is king so we completely updated the design geometry as well as added a few new features in increase on-water performance.

We could have not asked for a better day as the wind was averaging 15 to 20 knots at 10am. First up was racing! A two-lap figure eight course made for exciting racing as the riders dodged one another at over 20 knots!
